AngeliaSendTM - On-Line Help - Campaign Send E-Mail Address Wizard

The Campaign Send E-Mail Address Wizard is AngeliaSend's primary user interface.  It is invoked by clicking the "Campaign Send" button located on the Outlook E-Mail Inspector.  If you are using Outlook 2003 or earlier, the "Campaign Send" button will be located in the lower lefthand corner of the inspector, while for Outlook 2007, it is located in the "Add-Ins" tab.  A sample Campaign Send E-Mail Address Wizard is shown below.

AngeliaSend - Campaign Send E-Mail Address Wizard

When the Campaign Send E-Mail Address Wizard starts up, the "Available Contacts" list will contain all of the contacts in your default contacts folder.  If you have more than one contact folder, you may add the contacts in any folder by clicking on the checkbox for that folder in the "Address Books" list.  Any folder that is "checked" will be included while any folder without a check will be omitted.  Note that any contacts that do not have an E-Mail address will be omitted from the "Available Contacts" listing.  Unchecking a contacts folder will result in that folder's contacts being removed from the Available and Selected Lists.

To include a contact in your mailing, locate the contact in the "Available Contacts" list and move it to the "Selected Contacts" list by highlighting it in the list by clicking on it and then pressing "Select" -- or you may double-click the contact.  You may also select more than one contact at a time by holding down the shift or control keys while clicking - then press "Select" to move all highlighted contacts fom "Available" to "Selected".  The same process works in reverse to remove contacts from the "Selected" list and return them to the "Available" list.  The "Available" and "Selected" list may each be sorted on any column by double-clicking on the desired column's heading.  Double-click the column header a second time to invert the sort.

If you wish to see all of the details for a particular contact shown in the "Available Contacts" list then highlight the contact (left-click) and then right-click to get a popup menu offering "Contact Details" and "Toggle OptOut".  Selecting "Contact Details" will open an Outlook Contact Inspector for the selected contact.  The "Toggle OptOut" option is discussed in Managing Opt Outs topic elsewhere in this documentation.

If you have any Distribution Lists defined in any of the contact folders checked for inclusion, then those Distribution Lists will be presented in the "E-Mail Distribution Lists" display.  Checking a Distribution List in the display will cause the contacts that belong to that Distribution List to be moved from "Available" to "Selected".  Unchecking a Distribution List in the display will return member contacts to "Available" from "Selected".

The "Contact Filter Options" list is used to impose additional restrictions on the "Available Contacts" list.  The first filter, "Must have email address", is required and must stay checked at all times.  Contacts without E-Mail addresses are omitted from the "Available List".  The remaining Contact Filters are used to implement Opt Out Request Handling which is described in detail elsewhere.

A "Subject Line" must be provided before sending your E-Mail.  If the reference E-Mail had a subject line already entered then that subject line content will be pre-entered in the wizard -- you may change it as you wish.

The "Campaign Name" item is provided to assist you in organizing your E-Mails.  Enter any name you wish up to 100 characters - or select a previously used Campaign Name from the drop down list.  AngeliaSend will remember any Campaign Names that you have used to make it easy to assign them to future E-Mails.  "Campaign Names" are displayed in the Campaign Sent Items folder display and allow you to group related E-Mails together in that listing.

When you have at least one contact in the "Selected Contacts" list, the "Send E-Mails" and the "Save Settings" buttons on the tool bar will be enabled.  When you have two or more contacts in the  Selected Contacts  list the "Show Dupes" button will also be enabled.

Clicking "Show Dupes" will sort the "Selected Contacts" listing by E-Mail Address and then show any duplicate E-Mail Addresses by color coding contacts with identical E-Mail addresses.

Click "Send E-Mails" to complete the process and create E-Mails in your Outlook Outbox.  Note that both "Send E-Mails" and "Show Dupes" have alternate behaviors that are configured by clicking the Options button.  You may also save your settings for future re-use by clicking the Save Settings button.
