AngeliaMailTM - On-Line Help - Defining EMail Group Members

Email Address Group Members are defined by Email address -- therefore, an email address may appear only once within any one group.  An EMail Address may, however, appear in any number of different groups.  A “Member Description” allows the entry of a descriptive title (usually the name of the person to which the EMail address applies) which will appear in any Group Member lists displayed by the AngeliaMail Configuration Utility.

To add a new member to a group, first select the group on the AngeliaMail Configuration Utility's main form by clicking on the desired group in the "EMail Address Group Definitions" list, then click on "View/Modify Selected EMail Address Group" in the "EMail Groups" selection drop down list (or double click the group in the Groups list).  The "Add/Modify EMail Groups" dialog will appear, which will show the current membership list of the group.  Click "Add  A Member" and fill in the "Member EMail" and "Member Description" items.  Click "Ok" to add the member to the group.

Check “Blind Copy” if you wish this Group Member to receive emails for this group anonymously.  Note that at least one Group Member must be selected to publicly receive emails for the group – all group members may not be “Blind Copied”.

To modify an existing member, double click the member in the member list.  When the "Add/Modify Group Member" dialog appears, you may change the "Member Description" or Blind Copy items.  "Member EMail" may not be modified.  Click "Ok" to accept your changes or "Cancel" to abandon them.  Remember that your changes are not permanently stored in the AngeliaMail Configuration Database until you save your changes on the Configuration Utility's main form.

To Delete a Group Member – check the “Deleted” box.  Deleted Members will remain in the configuration until it is saved and re-loaded.  Loading a configuration into the Configuration Utility occurs only when it is started, or when the “Select A Different AngeliaMail Configuration File” is selected.  Also note that deleting members may cause an Email Group to become unstable.  A viable Email Group requires at least one active member that is not set for “Blind Copy”.
