AngeliaMailTM - On-Line Help - Sharing Configurations
AngeliaMail can be used on several different computer systems simultaneously as long as a production license
for each system is obtained from Kamradt & Hill. In an environment with multiple systems using AngeliaMail, configuration
maintenance can be simplified by relocating the configuration from one of the licenses to a commonly accessible shared network folder,
and reconfiguring any (or all) of the licensed systems to use that common configuration. License information will still remain
on each system that uses AngeliaMail (normally in the “Application Data” folder).
To make a common shared configuration repository, follow these steps:
- Create a folder on some system that is visible to all desired participant systems
- Share that folder and grant access rights so that all participating systems can read and write configuration information.
- We recommend that you create an AngeliaMail folder in the root of the share and place the AngeliaMail configuration file
and any common Command Files in that folder.
- Using the AngeliaMail Configuration Utility at the desktop of one of the licensed systems, select "Relocate Configuration
File" from the "Config Options" selection group, and select the share and folder created above as the new configuration location. Note that the configuration being relocated must be from the default configuration location on the source system (ie - you can not relocate an already relocated configuration).
- When asked, respond "Yes" to change your configuration path to the new location.
- If the configuration that was relocated is password protected, you will be prompted to supply the password to enable modifications.
- Using the AngeliaMail Configuration Utility on the desktop of each of the other licensed systems in turn that will share the common
configuration, select "Select a Different AngeliaMail Configuration File" from either the "Config Options"
or "License Status" selection groups, and change the configuration path to the common location.
