AngeliaSchedulerTM - On-Line Help - Backup Manager Options
Configuration Backup Manager Options are those items that determine the behavior of the automatic
Configuration Database backup. The Configuration Database is backed up each time it is modified and can also be
backed up on successful service startup. Backup Manager Options consist of the following items:
- Backup Destination Folder – sets the folder where configuration backups are to be
written. The default value is the same folder as the Configuration Database
("All Users\ApplicationData\Kamradt And Hill"). Any folder that the AngeliaScheduler
Service can write in is allowed, although caution should be exercised in using a network folder as this may
have an adverse effect on performance since configuration backups are made frequently.
- Configuration Backup On Startup – "On" or "Off" to create a backup
of the configuration database as part of startup. If enabled, this backup will be named
"AngeliaScheduler.SSA.0" (zero). The default setting is "On".
- Files In Configuration Backup Cycle – number of files in the configuration backup
rotation. The default is 3. As each backup is written, the backup file number is incremented.
When it exceeds the maximum, it is set to "1". Backup Files are named
"AngeliaScheduler.SSA.n" where "n" is a number from 1 to the maximum specified.
Multiple backup files prevents an error in writing a backup destroying the only valid backup.
