AngeliaSchedulerTM - On-Line Help - Queue Manager Options
Queue Manager Options are those that affect the basic functioning of the AngeliaScheduler Service
and those that provide default values for queue creation. They consist of the following items:
- System Base Polling Interval – expressed in seconds, this is the interval between queue
evaluations. The default is 60 seconds. For multi-queue installations we recommend a range of 5 to 60
seconds. Typically, the more queues, the lower this should be to increase prioritization possibilities.
- Delay Scheduling On Service Startup – expressed in seconds, this is the amount of time that
the AngeliaScheduler Service will wait before it begins polling its queues and scheduling tasks. It should be configured
as small as possible without allowing tasks to be scheduled before your system is completely ready. If this interval is too
short, then tasks can be scheduled that fail because system components (such as databases) that they require are not yet fully
available. The default is 300 seconds (5 minutes) which is sufficient in most cases.
- TCP Port For Remote Queue Manager and Queue Monitor Connections – defaults to
61762 but
may be changed to any legal (1..65535) value to avoid conflicting with other applications that you may be
running. Note that this item may not be changed via the Remote Queue Manager.
- Maximum Concurrent Executing Tasks – sets a cap on the maximum number of AngeliaScheduler
Queues that may have tasks executing during any given system polling interval. Once this number is reached,
no new AngeliaScheduler tasks will begin execution until a currently executing task is completed or aborted.
- Default Queue Polling Interval – expressed in seconds, this is the default polling interval
that will be assigned to a queue when it is created.
- Default Queue Task Folder – is the default Task Folder that is assigned to a queue when it
is created.
